The comforts of home

Siglief hasn't been home in a while, and while she loves Asgard, Earth has always been her second home. She had a chance to say hi to two of her best friends and get moved back in after coming through the portal - but after the formalities are done, she headed down to the training room.
She has a feeling that it won't be too long before someone else shows up - when one or the other visits from their usual homes, a sparring session is almost always a given as a chance to stretch, talk and catch up.

Date: 2011-09-09 03:06 am (UTC)She intentionally leaves an opening so Ara can jut get on with it and move to the fun parts of a fight.
"Aye, thou dost." she admits. Might as well pretend to be regarding her friend's legs to excuse that oh-so-terrible oversight in defense.

"Ah, so thou'rt a dancer and a fighter after all."

Date: 2011-09-09 03:35 am (UTC)Then yelps and gets tossed and lands. She rolled as she is sent rolling from the hit. Then she snarled and struck with her fist aiming for her friend's jaw.

Date: 2011-09-09 03:41 am (UTC)"Exactly." Now she throws herself in a leg lock. One leg starting to wind around the other warrior's She wants to knock them both over.

Date: 2011-09-09 04:00 am (UTC)Her hands grasp looking for places to grip. But there isn't much. Ara gives a low growl shifting her legs to try and gain control of the grapple again. Someday she will learn to not do this.
Grappling someone who is six inches taller and much heavier than her just doesn't work.

Date: 2011-09-09 04:14 am (UTC)She tangles her legs willingly, trying to make sure Ara can't get any leverage back, and sees if she can get hold of a wrist.

Date: 2011-09-09 04:58 am (UTC)So this is about learning. About getting an edge in case the worst should happen.
But damn it all to hell, Sig's legs have just the right amount of length to mess Ara up big time.

Date: 2011-09-09 05:04 am (UTC)She finally manages to get hold of a wrist, and works on pinning it down, pressing her chest against her friend's while she struggles to get the other wrist in hand as well. Pinning might be sufficient for those little mortal contests, she won't demand a yield until she has Ara helpless or wearing down.

Date: 2011-09-12 02:23 am (UTC)She struggles harder now. Every move is so she can get free to break the grapple. But she knows it will not work.
Damn.

Date: 2011-09-12 03:41 am (UTC)Mostly, though, she just loves the thrill of combat, and feeling a worthy foe struggling. They've done this dance many times - and its always a fight to the very end.
She finally gets both wrists, pinning her down, body to body to limit the ability to struggle away, grinning savagely as she looks in Ara's eyes close up.
"Dost thou yield?"
